I Didn’t Endorse Peter Obi – Ghana President
The President of Ghana, Nana Akufo-Addo has denied the trending news that he has asked the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Bola Tinubu to step down for the Labour Party (LP) candidate, Peter Obi.
Akufo-Addo in a statement on Tuesday described the reports in which he was quoted to have told Tinubu to step down from the 2023 presidential race in Nigeria as totally false.
HausaToday understands the Ghanaian President was quoted to have cited health reasons for his recommendation for Tinubu to withdraw from the race and support Peter Obi.
However, he has come out to debunk the report, describing it as total falsehood and mischievous, adding that it is not in his place to interfere in the internal affairs and politics of Nigeria.
