Former Big Brother Naija Housemate, Uriel Oputa has advised her colleagues on the need to curtail their flamboyant lifestyle and avoid pleasing crowds.
HausaToday reports that this is coming amidst speculations that one of the ex-housemate of the reality TV show, Kaisha, is battling mental health.
In a post shared on Instagram, Uriel averred that several endorsement deals come as a result of abundant fame and when the deals stop, it triggers a person into depression.
According to Uriel, when people are faced with the challenges of not getting deals, they try to understand the reasons brands are not engaging them.
She said however, after four months, a reality TV star changes his or her lifestyle from eating at five-star restaurants to local bukas, stressing that because one cannot afford a lavish lifestyle again does not mean one is financially liable.
She wrote: “When you have fame in abundance, endorsement deals flying. Then bang it stops!!!
“This is a major trigger into depression. You can’t mentally phantom why those brands have stopped calling you.
“In 4 months you have gone from being ok with eating from local Buka’s to only 5-star restaurants. You went from buying a new wig every so often, to every week. Because you can afford it doesn’t mean it’s financially liable. It’s a fast train don’t let the crowd allow you miss your rightful destination”.
