The PUNCH: The Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mr Godwin Emefiele’s alleged involvement in politics on Sunday attracted more strong condemnations, with senior lawyers and other eminent Nigerians calling for his immediate resignation.


The Guardian: After months of speculation, the picking of expression of interest and nomination form by Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor, Godwin Emefiele, to join the race to succeed President Muhammadu Buhari has drawn the ire of many, throwing up frenzied reactions from politicians, financial experts and lawyers over the impropriety or otherwise of the apex bank’s chief joining the fray.


The Nation: The All Progressives Congress (APC) has released nine guidelines for the conduct of presidential, governorship and parliamentary aspirants ahead of primaries. The contenders have been barred from going to court without first exhausting avenues for redress and ventilation of grievances


ThisDay: Some African leaders have mounted pressure on President Muhammadu Buhari to anoint President of the African Development Bank (AfDB), Dr. Akinwumi Adesina, as the presidential candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the 2023 general election.


Daily SUN: Barring any last minute change, the Peoples Democratic Party ( PDP) National Executive Committee (NEC) would meet on Wednesday to consider the report of its zoning committee headed by Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom.
