The PUNCH: The Nigerian Bar Association and civil rights groups on Monday warned that  Central Bank of Nigeria Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele’s involvement in politics was threatening the 2023 elections. They also said his membership of the All Progressives Congress had eroded the credibility of the apex bank, where sensitive materials are kept,  during elections.

The Guardian: Chief Press Secretary to the INEC chairman, Rotimi Oyekanmi, in a statement made available to The Guardian, said though INEC has enjoyed a beneficial relationship with the apex bank in the area of storing its sensitive election materials over the years, the move by the CBN governor to contest for the nation’s number one post while still retaining his current position might have implications on the existing partnership

The Nation: Former President Goodluck Jonathan Monday night rejected the presidential nomination form obtained for him by a group, the Nomadic Herders and Almajiris Community in Nigeria. He said he did not authorise any group to purchase the form for him

Daily Trust: Former President Goodluck Jonathan has rejected the nomination and expression of interest forms that a group bought for him. Daily Trust had reported how the group acquired the forms in Abuja on Monday night
