The Labour Party (LP) vice presidential candidate, Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has replied the Governor of Delta State, Ifeanyi Okowa over a recent statement that his principal, Peter Obi, lacks the experience to lead Nigeria.
HausaToday earlier reported that Okowa, who is the vice presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), said Obi’s only experience as a former Governor in Anambra State is not enough to lead Nigeria.
He stressed that leading a country like Nigeria is hard and hence someone like Obi needed more to occupy the seat of the presidency.
But speaking in an interview on Channels TV on Monday, Datti Baba-Ahmed asked Okowa to present anyone that has experience more than Peter Obi.
According to Yusuf, the saying that Obi lacks enough experience is untrue stressing that he has more experience than other candidates.
In his words: “It’s untrue that Obi does not have enough experience. He is more experienced than any of the contestants.
“Show me anyone who has more experience than Peter Obi. None of them has as much as peter obi has.”
Speaking on structure, Baba-Ahmed said that LP has a structure called ‘People-oriented structure, ‘Stratified structure’.
He opined that he and his principal are looking forward to having a government in money and not money in government.
