2023: Peter Obi’s Camp Releases ‘Evidence’ On His University Degree After INEC Publication
The media aide to the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, Valentine Obienyem has submitted that mischief makers are those behind the noise surrounding the class of degree obtained by his principal.
According to him, paper qualifications are not a measure of anyone’s wisdom or intelligence.
Obienyem made the submission in a statement on Wednesday in which he reacted to the uproar that greeted Obi’s academic qualification based on details released on Tuesday by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
INEC had written ‘degree’ as part of the LP candidate’s academic qualification but some persons had gone ahead to criticize the class of degree, saying it’s an ordinary pass.
Others argued that he didn’t present his degree results to INEC.
However, in a statement made available to journalists on Wednesday, Obienyem said his boss would have wanted to ignore the mischief makers but it was necessary to set the records staruight so as not to create any wrong impression in the polity.
He also attached a copy of Obi’s credentials and results to the statement.
