Sokoto Young Entrepreneurs Create Sugar Alternative Brands Using Local Fruit

A group of young Sokoto entrepreneurs have come together to create a cutting-edge brand that promotes good health by providing safe alternative to sugar.
The brand, dubbed DATESSTORE is a licensed company, birthed in Sokoto this year, specializes in the inoculation of indigenous Date Fruits to promote healthy living and enhanced socio-economic development.

Chief Executive Officer of the company, Olatunde Mustapha, said “the exploration of indigenous dates for different healthy and nutritious by-products is the goal of DATESSTORE.”

The company which is located at No. 1 Garba Duba road, Runji Sambo opposite Tashar Alu Motor Park, Sokoto, is equally the Regional Distributor of iBev Date Drink a natural refreshing drink.



Committed to satisfying diverse Customers with unique interests, DATESSTORE is incorporating the indigenous dates into foods and this led to the introduction of ‘Date Foodies’
Going forward, the Date-oriented company wants to maximize the benefits of indigenous dates for mankind, hence it’s ongoing research into usefulness of dates in cosmetology and treatments through the Date Clinic.
